Rupert the Snail
Rupert the Snail may not be the fastest resident on your shelf, but he's certainly one of the most charming. This hand-finished 3D printed sculpture is printed and finished right here at my workshop in the Netherlands, and he's ready to find a good spot the moment he arrives.

Rupert loves the slow life, a gentle pace, a warm patch of light, and the company of whoever shares his shelf. Place him somewhere he can keep an eye on things, and he'll reward you with that quiet, contented energy that only a snail can truly pull off. He gets along well with other figurines and is perfectly happy on a desk, a windowsill, or a bookshelf.
✦ Fun Fact
Snails have been around for over 500 million years, making them one of the oldest animal groups on Earth. They were already crawling around long before the dinosaurs showed up, which perhaps explains why Rupert looks so thoroughly unbothered by everything.
Rupert's measurements are approximately 12 × 7 × 6 cm (L × W × H). Because Rupert was designed as a figurine and not as a toy, please be careful with him when children are around, everything has been sanded down where needed for safety, but some sharp parts could still be present.

Living with a print
It's a print, so it reads like one up close. Seams get sanded, supports get cleaned off, nothing gets filled in to fake a moulded look.
PLA starts to soften around 50 °C. A sunny windowsill is fine: a parked car in August is not.
Dry brush or a soft cloth. If it needs more than that, lukewarm water and patience: no solvents.
