The Bivalve Pokémon, shell open, tongue out, doing exactly what Shellder does best. This hand-finished 3D printed collectible brings Kanto's stubborn little shellfish to life in Stardust Purple, Charcoal Black, Sakura Pink and Ivory White, made right here at my workshop in the Netherlands.
Dimensions fully assembled: approximately 10.6 x 8.5 x 6.6 cm (L x W x H)
Designed by N3D. Printed, finished and shipped by Hand of Stardust.
Photos shown are of the fully finished Stardust Finish variant!
✦ Stardust Finish
Every Shellder arrives as a Stardust Finish: fully printed in Stardust Purple, Charcoal Black, Sakura Pink and Ivory White, with the shell, eyes and that very iconic tongue all picked out by hand. Stardust Purple in particular gives the shell a cooler, deeper tone than the canon violet... a small upgrade that earns its place on a shelf. Open-shelled and unbothered, ready to display straight out of the box.
✦ Want to build it yourself?
Prefer the hands-on experience? I also offer a Builder's Kit option: all parts printed in the correct colours, unassembled and ready for you to put together yourself. Just reach out via Instagram or email and we'll sort it out!
✦ Trivia
Generation I, Through and Through
Shellder debuted in Red and Blue as one of Kanto's original Water-types, Pokédex No. 090. It evolves into Cloyster with a Water Stone, which is the rare evolution that genuinely transforms the design rather than just scaling it up.
Harder Than Diamonds
Canon claim: Shellder's shell is purportedly harder than diamonds, and people have historically used it to make shields. A small mollusc with a frankly intimidating defensive resume.
The Slowpoke Connection
Shellder is famously the other half of one of the franchise's strangest symbioses... bite a Slowpoke's tail and you get a Slowbro. Bite the head and you get a Slowking. It's the kind of evolutionary lore that fans have been arguing about since 1996, and Shellder is right at the centre of it.
Tongue Out, Always
In the Pokédex, Shellder's tongue is never withdrawn... not even when sleeping. This piece captures it in its natural state: shell wide open, tongue front and centre, fully committed to the bit.
