Even the Pitch-Black Pokémon deserves a home somewhere other than your nightmares. This hand-finished Character Ball captures Darkrai in a Poké Ball-inspired design, printed in hauntingly fitting dark tones right here at my workshop in the Netherlands.

A Mythical Encounter
Introduced in Generation IV, Darkrai is a Mythical Pokémon known for its ability to induce nightmares. Originally obtainable only through special Nintendo events, it was one of the most elusive Pokémon in Diamond and Pearl: you needed a Member Card just to reach Newmoon Island.
Anime Spotlight
In Pokémon: The Rise of Darkrai, this shadowy figure uses its signature move Dark Void to plunge an entire town into dream-induced chaos. Despite its fearsome reputation, the film reveals Darkrai as a misunderstood guardian: one of the franchise's most poignant portrayals of a Mythical Pokémon.
Returning in Modern Games
Darkrai became more accessible in Pokémon Legends: Arceus as part of a post-game side quest, though only for players with save data from Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl. Its continued appearances have made it a staple of competitive Dark-type teams.
Design Origins
Darkrai's design draws on shadowy wraiths and lunar mythology. The flowing tendrils and ghostly silhouette evoke a living nightmare, while the red collar and single piercing blue eye add contrast and an unsettling elegance that's hard to look away from.

Living with a print
It's a print, so it reads like one up close. Seams get sanded, supports get cleaned off, nothing gets filled in to fake a moulded look.
PLA starts to soften around 50 °C. A sunny windowsill is fine: a parked car in August is not.
Dry brush or a soft cloth. If it needs more than that, lukewarm water and patience: no solvents.
