How It Started
The cat clicker started as a Halloween project: a classic black cat and a white cat, made for the witchy and spooky-inclined. The design comes from the talented Marie's Button ,and as I was updating the product descriptions for the cat clickers in the shop, I thought it would be nice to honor Biets, a cat near and dear to my heart, by creating a variant of the cat clicker.
About Biets
Biets was named after an old Dutch word for begging or stealing, because that's how my dad met him. As a stray, he'd sneak through the cat door and steal the food from the other cats at the time.
He's been with my dad for years, and when my dad passed away, I made sure to bring him with me.
Biets passed away nearly four years ago. And while I still miss him and my dad every day, I'm glad I had them in my life.
The New Variants
Just like Biets: An orange tabby with white paws. He comes with a keychain loop and a satisfying tactile click, and the kind of energy that says he's tolerating being on your keys but would prefer the warm spot by the window.
White with Grey Spots: Inspired by my neighbour's cat, who liked the idea of having their own version so much that I made one. Soft white with light grey markings... for anyone whose cat situation is less "owner" and more "chosen by a neighbourhood cat and now you live with that."
Both new variants join the existing black cat and white cat in the Cat Clicker collection, available with your choice of keychain colour. Whether you're here for the fidget satisfaction, the familiar energy, or just want a clicker that looks a little like your own cat... there's one for you.
